For a few weeks we have been trying to get a cat to rid us of our mouse problem. With a special undercover battle, Emma and I took to the streets and captured a small kitten that has been living near our front yard for a few days. After realizing that is was probably too small to take away from its mother, we safely put the named Hunter/Gremlin back outside, only to realize that it has infected our house with fleas. Great...now we still had mice, and fleas to go right along with them!! After a few days of itchy skin and more mouse poo sightings, we decided that since it was now "high kitten season" we would head to the shelter to adopt (a flealess cat of course). The girls and I went to "Lost Dogs", a shelter for stray animals in Melbourne. The main goal of the trip was to get a kitten since it is now "high season" for them! Heading there was a little intense, and hearing all of the dogs barking brought me right back to when we first got Shadow. We made our way over to the cat section and I couldn't make it past the first cage because I fell in love with an AWESOME tabby. After convincing the girls that we didn't need to see anymore, we took "Henry" out for a play...and t
hen home with us!! He is super awesome and only 6 months old. Now we should be able to get rid of all the mice and fleas that have taken over our house!!
